Puerto Rico: Day 3

Sadly, just a short weekend trip to Puerto Rico is all we can manage at this point in our lives. However our last day was completely magical with a full day on the ocean on a catamaran! Megan and Rachel secured me and Max's position in the "lover's nest" right on the foredeck of the boat.

The water really was that blue. We snokeled, drank pina coladas, collected conch shells on the beach and everyone (except Megan, our local guide) got sunburned 😝 It felt like a dream to be engaged, sailing on a catamaran while sipping on a frozen cocktail.

Ending our day on the ocean we drank wine on the beach, played card games, and had pizza (but you know it had to be PR pizza 😆). Sad to leave so soon but still basking in our this huge step in our relationship -- We loved Puerto Rico and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Until next time, Puerto Rico. xx

Puerto Rico - Day 2

We got up bright and early to go and zip line through The El Yunque Rainforest! It was an exotic way to start our trip and gave us lots of time to chat between our rides.

It was then raining off and off, and Megan's plan was to take us on a hike to an overlook within El Yunque Forest. She had described this tower that had amazing views of the jungle! We all agreed that we didn't mind if it was raining and continued up into the hills to begin our soggy (and sometimes slippery) hike!

Little did I know why Max was charging ahead, leading our group at an impressive speed...

Shocked would be an understatement. And no words can describe my happiness in that moment when Max asked me to marry him. It was truly one of my best days of my life. Megan and Rachel, not only trudging through the hike with this enormous secret of an engagement, but bag laden with champagne and solo cups -- it meant the world to have them there to celebrate us and make our special moment perfect.

I am in complete disbelief that I didn't see it coming. Needless to say the hike didn't provide the view I expected, but I hiked up a girlfriend and back down a fiancé :) A huge thank you to Megan and Rachel, you'll always be a special part of our story 💓 We had the best dinner down near the beach and explored some of what is iconic to Luquillo -- kioskos. Basically a strip of humble, locally owned shops that sell anything from drinks, to street food, to sit-down restaurants and souvenir shops! We tried a little of everything that we could manage-- full heart and full bellies on our second night in the beautiful Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico - Day 1

 Hola!

Max and I had a great opportunity to visit our friend and my neighbor Megan in Puerto Rico! Megan is living her dream by 'testing the waters' of living in PR before fully committing to moving her life there... could be in the near future!

We were picked up by the best Uber driver PR has to offer - Megan herself! She gave us a driving tour of San Juan and shared with us the rich history of this now US Territory.

Next stop La Factoria, a hidden bar with secret passage ways to different bars (with different drinks!) where we drank superb cocktails and Megan's friend Rachel arrived! We had a blast drinking and soaking up Puerto Rican culture (and liquor) before heading to dinner for tapas.

Tomorrow is zip lining and hiking at El Yunque National Forest that Megan graciously waited and nabbed a lottery entrance pass for us to be able to hike! So excited!

France: Day 8 - Paris

Our final day was in Paris, and it was truly a dream. We had brunch at Immersion, splitting one savory and one sweet French toast.  We then ...
